If Myeong-dong and Apgujeong-dong are the hub of shopping and entertainment in Seoul, Seomyeon is a similar hangout for the young in Busan. Known as the heart of downtown Busan, the first block of Seomyeon has developed around the Seomyeon Intersection where subway lines 1 and 2 meet and one third of the bus routes pass through. Upscale department stores, traditional markets and outlet stores are all available for shopping, while affordable yet tasty restaurants fill the streets. It is the place the young are continuously lured to.
